The annoying thing about the bonus rooms is that the combat is highly incentivized in the main playfield. Every ten enemy kills add to your bonus, and seeing those lights start to grow and grow is so satisfying. I would love to be able to play this game without the bonus rooms. I think it could have been a top ten game without them.
